Manufacturing Questions
Contract manufacturing is a service in which a company outsources the production of its products to a specialized manufacturing partner rather than building and operating its own factory. CNB Solutions manages the complete production process on behalf of the client: factory selection and qualification, production planning and scheduling, in-line quality oversight, final inspection, and coordination of packaging and outbound shipment. Clients retain design ownership and brand identity while CNB Solutions handles all manufacturing execution. Over 20 years and 500+ projects, our model is turnkey: clients hand us a validated design and receive finished, shelf-ready goods.
CNB Solutions manages manufacturing across a broad range of processes through our network of 100+ vetted factory partners. Core capabilities include injection molding and tooling, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, die casting, electronics assembly (PCBA), and final product assembly. We also coordinate packaging development, kitting, and labeling. The right process for a given product depends on material, tolerance requirements, volume, and cost targets. We recommend the appropriate manufacturing approach during the initial project review and connect the client with qualified factories from our vetted network that specialize in the required process.
Quality requirements vary by industry and target market. CNB Solutions has managed production programs requiring FDA compliance for medical device components, CE marking for products entering the European market, RoHS compliance for electronics, and ISO 9001-aligned quality management systems at the factory level. For each engagement, we identify the applicable standards during project scoping, confirm that shortlisted factories hold the required certifications, and build the quality control plan to match. We do not fabricate certifications or compliance claims: every standard cited in a quality plan is verified against the factory's documentation before production begins.
Minimum order quantity (MOQ) depends on the product, process, and factory. Injection molding programs typically require higher MOQs due to tooling amortization, while CNC and fabricated metal parts can often be produced in smaller quantities. Our role is to negotiate MOQs on the client's behalf and to match projects with factories whose production scale aligns with the client's volume requirements. We work with brands at both the early-launch stage (low volume, high iteration) and the scaling stage (high volume, cost-optimized production). During project scoping, we provide realistic MOQ ranges before any factory commitment is made.
Every CNB Solutions manufacturing engagement includes a pre-shipment inspection. If inspection results fall below the agreed acceptance criteria, the shipment is held until the factory corrects the defects or a disposition decision is made. We do not approve shipments that fail inspection to meet a deadline. In cases where defective goods reach the client, we document the failure, trace it to root cause, and coordinate rework or replacement with the factory at no additional cost to the client, provided the defect falls within the scope of our quality agreement. Our quality process is designed to catch failures before shipment, not after delivery.
