Design for Manufaturability

CNBS specializes in reducing production costs and time-to-market of manufactured products. We evaluate the ease of manufacture for the product’s parts as well as the simplified assembly of those parts into the final product. Our engineers work with the product design team to minimize the complexity of manufacturing and assembly during the early phases of product development.

If an existing vendor is deemed not a fit we will identify and qualify a manufacturer that will be able to meet and exceed customers’ expectations.

We work with manufacturers around the world to ensure the best pricing. To do this we make our own estimated pricing on what the product should cost using the material cost, labor cost, factory overhead, cycle time, and production capabilities. After having this information, we can more clearly discuss pricing with the factories and get the best price for the customer.

Prototyping & Production

We have have designs prototyped before going into full production to ensure that they are making the product according to the customers wants and needs. This includes, but is not limited to; metal products through CNC machining, plastic parts through 3D printing, and even wood through handmade alterations or machining.

After the final sample has been approved, tooling is made and then production is able to begin. The order quantities are specified in the quote that was first issued and agreed upon by the manufacturer and the customer. After the first production run is finished, the parts will be inspected and go through quality control before being shipped out to the customer
